Innovative Usage of Vibratory Feeders – Elscint Vibratory Bowl Feeder for feeding of aluminium caps

Elscint recently manufactured a vibratory bowl feeder for feeding of aluminum caps of two sizes. The dimensions of the caps were dia 18.2 x 15 mm ht. and dia 15.50 x 12.80 mm ht. respectively. Elscint recommended its Model 250 with cast aluminium bowl with Elscinthane PU coating. Changeover tooling was provided to ensure that each of these caps were fed in the correct orientation without any problem. The required speed was 60 parts per minute. However Elscint achieved a speed of more than 200 caps per minute in the correct orientation. Further proper overflow arrangement was provided so that even if the customer did not provided a sensor in his chute, the caps would keep falling back into the bowl.
